Junior Maths Challenge Champions
Ingrams pupils achieve Gold certificates in national numeracy competition.
Earlier this term our First and Second Form pupils sat the UK Mathematics Trust Junior Challenge. Aimed at pupils in Year 8 or below in England and Wales, the challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice maths questions in one hour and is sat in school under normal exam conditions.
The following achieved a gold certificate and so qualify for one of Mr Jessup's mechanical pencils: Maxwell Adams, Toby Eddleston, Campbell Fraser, Annie Johnson, Abigail King, Max Oldfield, Finley Peake and Charlotte Tully. Special mention to Toby, as his high score meant he also qualified for Round 2, the Junior Kangaroo paper.
Around 250,000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge this year, with only the top 6% receiving a gold certificate.
Congratulations to you all!
