Prep Pupils 'Go Orange'
Today is ‘Go Orange’ Day at the Prep, a fundraising event in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Today is ‘Go Orange’ Day at the Prep, a fundraising event in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK. For a donation of £1, pupils from Reception to Year 6 accessorised their school uniform with items of orange to support a cause that is very close to all our hearts.
The highlight of the day was ‘Stokes in the Stocks’ – a break time fundraising opportunity for pupils in Years 3 to 6 to throw sponges at the (very brave) Prep’s Senior Deputy Head.
Many of the normal timetabled lessons and activities had an ‘Orange’ theme, too, including a lesson in weaving orange ribbons for our Reception classes, and Year 5 using oranges to calculate fractions.
All of the money raised will help to fund research into muscle-wasting conditions.
