OK wins French U23 Cross Country Championship

After Katie Good (OK 2009)a gruelling 7K run in the wind and rain in Roch Sur Yon, France, Katie Good (OK 2009) won the U23 Ladies gold medal in the Championnats de France de Cross-country on the 4th March.

Katie (pictured on the right), who left Kimbolton School in 2009 and is on her Erasmus year studying Law at Lyon 3 University, currently trains with a club in Lyon and had to get through three qualifying rounds before she could run in the finals.

Delighted with her success, Katie said "The race itself was extremely nerve racking with over 400 women running and 12,000 spectators!  The conditions were awful with lots of wind, rain and mud which made the course quite challenging.  However, it was one of the most amazing races I have ever done and a truly unforgettable experience!"

Katie is now looking forward to the road and track season and, in particular, running in the French 10K nationals in April and running the 5,000m and 10,000m at the Olympic Stadium for the University Championships at the beginning of May.
