School Entry

Senior School

The normal entry points for the Senior School are at 11+, 13+ and 16+.  Kimbolton Prep School pupils who pass 11+ Entrance Examination transfer to the Senior School at age 11+ (Year 7).

External 11+ candidates for entry in September 2009 will be invited for interview in January or February prior to the 11+ Entrance Examination on Saturday 7th February 2009.

Entry at 13+ for candidates from preparatory schools is via the Common Entrance Examination which is taken in early May or June.  Candidates who are not prepared for Common Entrance may sit the School’s own 13+ Entrance Examination which will take place on Saturday 7th February, 2009.

Sixth Form (16+) candidates are expected to meet our GCSE entry requirements -  details are available on request. We are holding a series of Sixth Form Open Mornings in November for pupils considering joining the Sixth Form at Kimbolton in September 2009. For further details please contact the School Registrar, Mrs Jane Simpson, on 01480 862209 or click here to e-mail her.
