Welcome
to the Kimbolton School website which provides a brief taster
of life at Kimbolton. If this is your first visit, may I
commend the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section.
We are an HMC co-educational
day/boarding school of some 950 pupils aged 4 to 18. The
Preparatory School caters for the 4-11 year olds at one
end of the village, whilst a brisk walk through our parkland
brings you out into the ‘Castle’ grounds which
house the Senior School. We are fortunate to have such an
attractive campus, centred on Kimbolton Castle – purchased
from the Dukes of Manchester in the middle of the last century.
As the School expands and improves, additional buildings
are being added. A new Prep School Assembly Hall
opened in January 2006, the exciting, innovative
Queen Katharine Building
on the Senior School campus has just opened
and our second astro turf pitch (with floodlights) is now in
use. Some exciting new developments are in the
pipeline as part of our next
School Development Plan which
was published in December 2008.
Kimbolton School has a
rich history, stretching back over 400 years. Many pupils
can trace their family line through generations of Old Kimboltonians,
but we are also alive to the present and our 21st Century
school embraces pupils from far and wide.
There are so many opportunities available to the Kimbolton
pupil, do come and see for yourself. I would be delighted
to meet you and I can assure you of a warm welcome. To read
