First Class Education Within Reach of the City

"Pupils can spend their whole education at Kimbolton enjoying the benefits of a happy environment, small class sizes and excellent pastoral care." The Good Schools Guide, 2020
    • Co-educational Day and Boarding School, ages 4-18
    • Half an hour from Cambridge
    • 40 minutes from London

Nestled in the countryside, yet within easy reach of Cambridge and London, Kimbolton School provides a safe and nurturing environment with space for your child to grow, learn and play.

You'll find our Prep School (ages 4-11) at one end of the town's historic High Street, while a short walk through parkland brings you to our Secondary School (ages 11-18), centred around Kimbolton Castle - former home to King Henry VIII's first wife, Queen Katharine of Aragon.

Class sizes are small, ensuring individual attention, with specialist subject teaching from the youngest of ages. Our A Level results put us among the top schools in Cambridgeshire, but we are equally proud of our high quality pastoral care; our teachers take the time to get to know each and every child and what makes them tick.

A varied extra-curricular programme complements our broad curriculum, helping every child to grow into a quietly confident, self-assured young adult - well prepared academically and socially to face the challenges that life may bring.

Visitors to our school comment on its friendly, busy feel and welcoming family atmosphere. At our heart beats a strong sense of community, where everyone is encouraged to be involved and where everybody’s contribution is valued.

We offer assistance with fees in the form of bursaries and scholarships for pupils aged 11+ . Discover what a Kimbolton education can offer your child by joining us at one of our 2020 Open Mornings or come for an individual visit. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
