This summer, Molly Stenson (L6) spent a week with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, an organisation that offers young singers the chance to develop their musical talents in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Molly participated in an intensive residential course, singing for around eight hours a day, along with morning warm-ups and evening activities. She worked with experienced coaches and musicians, learning songs in Mandarin, Latin, French, and English, and also received individual coaching sessions to improve her skills.
Molly found the experience both demanding and rewarding, and she is keen to share her insights with any fellow Kimbolton students interested in auditioning for the choir. She’s happy to chat about the process and what to expect from the residential courses.
For anyone passionate about singing, the National Youth Choir is a fantastic opportunity to grow as a musician and work with other talented young singers.
