This year’s Cambridgeshire Schools Golf Championships saw individual and team success for Kimbolton golfers Chloe Neal and Max Bowmer-Adey. Fourth Former Chloe lifted the runner-up trophy in the Girls’ scratch competition, with a gross score of 88. She was joined in the scratch team event by Lower Sixth Former Max, and their two best scores were enough to secure them second place.
More than 80 youngsters from 20 different schools took to the fairways at Girton Golf Club in Cambridge for the annual event this April. Max has since been selected to represent Cambridgeshire schools in the South East of England Schools' Championships at John O'Gaunt Golf Club, Bedfordshire, on Friday, 29 May.
Cambridgeshire Schools Golf Association organiser, Marcella Tuttle said: “It's unusual for girls and boys to play together at county events, so it was great to see them all together. I wish the players lots of success in the forthcoming regional and national schools events."
