Three Kimbolton pupils are on course for national success after claiming two golds and a silver in the East of England Prep Schools' Athletics Championships.

Owen Brownston (Senior School, First Form), Harriet Fenton (Senior, Second Form) and Spencer Taylor (Prep, Year 6) all achieved personal bests at Bedford International Stadium in a highly competitive field of athletes from 50 schools.

Eleven-year-old Owen triumphed in the U13 1500 metres race in a time of 4:54 while Spencer, also 11, smashed 23 seconds off his personal best to finish second in 5:15 in the U12 1500 metres. Thirteen-year-old Harriet Fenton booked her place in the final with a decisive win at 1.51m in the U14 High Jump.

All three will now represent Kimbolton at the National Prep Schools' Athletics Finals, which will be held at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham, later this month – best of luck!
