On the final Saturday of the school year, our sailing team faced the stiffest test possible as Olympian Ben Saxton returned to challenge them prior to competing in Rio de Janeiro next month.

Ben has been selected to represent Team GB as part of the sailing team in the Nacra 17 class - he and his partner are already European Champions - but on 2nd July he sailed with Abby Aldridge (OK 14) in the annual School v Old Kimboltonians match.  With 20-30 mph winds, the School sailed with three per boat while the OKs could safely sail with two.  Not surprisingly, in the best of three match, Ben and Abby won 2-0, a defeat that we can still be proud of (!) as all the pupils acquitted themselves well.

Good luck in Rio, Ben. We hope to see you again soon!
