Flying the flag for Kimbolton School and the UK is Cadet Sgt Will Day who is currently in the Rocky Mountain Cadet Training Centre, Canada, on a six-week-long cadet exchange.
He is one of just 43 cadets and adult volunteers selected for the exchange. Shortly after the end of term, the UK team set off in three parties to Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary and on to one of three Canadian Cadet Summer camp locations at Rocky Mountain, Argonaut and Whitehorse. They have joined cadets from all over Canada who are also taking part in the Summer Camp season at some of the most awe inspiring camp venues.
During the course of the six-week camp, a programme of adventurous training is planned and is expected to be the highlight for many of the cadets. The exchange group is made up of both ACF and CCF cadets and resulted from a selection exercise earlier in the year.
Will will return to take up the role of Senior Cadet for our next academic year.
