Examination Success for Drama Pupils
Pupils achieve an excellent set of results in their London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations.
Congratulations to our Senior School extra-curricular Drama pupils, who have achieved an excellent set of results in their recent London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations.
The classes are run by the LAMDA representative for Cambridgeshire, Mrs Beau-Jessica Roberts, and pupils participate in ten sessions per term. They learn a range of acting and public speaking skills, while they work on a monologue, duologue, or a performance and presentation of a poem. The course is in addition to our current extra-curricular Drama programme, which includes Ingrams and Third Form Drama clubs, as well as main School Production rehearsals.
After such success at the Senior School, we are delighted this term to be able to offer pupils in Prep Years 3-6 the same opportunity to take part in after-school speech and drama classes, again leading to a LAMDA qualification.
Mrs Roberts said: “I am passionate about developing students’ creative skills, which will stay with them for life. The course is hard work, but the classes are fun - encouraging imagination and helping pupils to increase their confidence in acting, communication and public speaking.”
