Cadets Win Regional CCF (RAF) Competition
Kimbolton is through to the National Finals at RAF Halton.
Our CCF (RAF) cadet teams were once again successful in the Eastern Region Royal Air Squadron Trophy competition at RAF Honington (21 Jan), with our 'A' team finishing in 1st place out of 18 teams and our ‘B’ team in 3rd place.
The day-long competition tests all aspects of cadets' skills and abilities via seven different tasks. Our cadets secured first place in two of these (RAF Knowledge and Fitness), came second in three (Aircraft Recognition, Drill and First Aid) and third in four (Command Task, First Aid, Fitness and Shooting).
Section Commander, Flt Lt Oliver Hall said: "Both teams trained hard for the competition, and we were very happy to finish in 1st place this year. We were even more delighted that our B team did so well, given that the majority of the team have only been in the CCF for a few months."
Kimbolton is now through to the National Finals at RAF Halton on Sunday 4 March - good luck!
