    Our Community

Kimbolton High StreetKimbolton is one of the loveliest villages in Cambridgeshire, a vibrant community recently rated as one of Muddy Stilettos' 'Top Places to Live in Cambridgeshire'.

It has many independent shops including a butcher, two public houses, cafes, menswear shop, hardware store, newsagent and gift shop, florist and a pharmacy. There is also a supermarket, fire station, post office, estate agents, primary school and a medical centre - recently rated the best GP practice in the whole of Cambridgeshire. The Mandeville Hall runs a monthly community cinema and hosts local events of all kinds including baby clinics, playgroups, fitness and dancing classes, parties and quiz nights.

Kimbolton School is an integral part of the wider community, with many school facilities such as the Kimbolton Castle State Rooms, swimming pool, theatre and grounds often open to the public and/or available for private hire. Our active Parents' Association (KSPA) organises many events that are open to all. Highlights of the annual social calendar include our Fireworks Display, Macmillan Coffee Morning and Christmas Fair.

Boarding at Kimbolton School, from age 11, is a rich and rewarding experience within our close-knit school and village communities. We offer the security of living in a friendly rural village, while offering activities and trips every weekend to ensure that boarders experience life beyond our gates. Our two boarding houses are located on Kimbolton's beautiful High Street and back onto the school grounds. The boys live in Kimbolton House while the girls are a few doors further along in White House. Both houses are full of character, yet have modern facilities that meet the needs of today's teenagers.
