We are delighted to offer an exclusive guided tour of this historic and fascinating building, led by Andrew Bamford, Curator of Kimbolton Castle. Andrew will delve into the hidden history of the castle as you explore the sumptuous state rooms, Chapel, Queen's bedchamber and boudoir, courtyard, main staircase and more.
The tour concludes with afternoon tea and a glass of fizz, with a piano accompaniment, served in the Saloon with its giant fluted Corinthian pilasters and columns, splendid marble fireplace and paintings of kings, queens and dukes. Join us for an unforgettable experience!
Tour Date, Time and Information
- Monday, 14 August and Tuesday, 15 August 2023. Tour starts at 2pm; afternoon tea at 3.30pm.
- £50 per person with a glass of sparkling wine; £45 per person without.
- Limited availability, with a maximum number of 36 places on the tour.
- Ticket price includes a traditional selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and biscuits.
Your Guide: Andrew Bamford, Curator of Kimbolton Castle
Andrew is a history graduate from Selwyn College, Cambridge, with a vast knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Castle. He was previously Head of History at Kimbolton School and has become an accomplished guide after many years leading school trips around Britain and beyond.
Andrew will be accompanied by his wife, Lisa, Head of Art at Kimbolton School, who will add her Art History perspective to the tour. Together, they have exceptional knowledge of the building, artwork and furniture ... and plenty of anecdotes!
