    • Key Stage 2 Teacher

      An opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, dedicated teacher to take responsibility for a class at the Preparatory School from September 2019. We are interested in appointing the right person to complement our staff team and will adapt the role to fit the strengths of the successful candidate.

      The position offers the chance to teach a wide range of curriculum subjects whilst enjoying the support of specialist staff. The successful candidate will be experienced across KS2, with experience at KS1 considered an advantage.  They will have day to day responsibility for their own class, including the pastoral and academic welfare of pupils. A willingness to contribute fully to the sporting/extracurricular life of the school is a key requirement of the role. The current post-holder is heavily involved in this aspect of school life, holds a key responsibility as the Educational Visits Coordinator for Preparatory School and coordinates the Prep School’s extra-curricular activities programme.

      Job Description : KS2 Teacher

    • Part-time Teacher of French (up to 0.7)

      Application Deadline: 26/02/19

      To start in September 2019, we are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher or enthusiastic graduate to teach French part-time to at least IGCSE level.  The ideal candidate must have a good university degree in French and be fluent in spoken and written as well as being a regular visitor to France. 

      In the first year, the Head of French expects to offer the successful applicant a range of teaching opportunities throughout the age range.

      French results in recent years have been strong (2017 results – IGCSE 65% A*/A; A level 100% A/B).  The new teacher’s primary role will be to help maintain and improve upon this standard.

      In addition to the teaching, the successful applicant will be expected to take a full part in the activities of the Department such as accompanying and organising cinema or theatre trips.  In particular, a willingness to organise and accompany visits to France is essential.  All members of the Department contribute to keeping resources up-to-date.

      Kimbolton School is seeking to appoint two/three Graduates (of any academic discipline) for September 2019.  This is a hugely exciting opportunity to get fully immersed in the life of a forward thinking Independent School.

      The one year appointment would see the successful applicants learning about teaching in the classroom in their specialist subject, being fully involved in School sport, including taking teams, enjoying the boarding community and so much more.  The role would suit those thinking about either going on to a PGCE or direct into teaching.

      The successful applicants will be accommodated in self-contained flats.  Board and lodging is provided for free throughout term time.

    • Musician in Residence

      We are seeking to appoint a Musician in Residence for September 2019, for a full year.  The position would ideally suit a Music graduate that is perhaps considering a career in teaching, whether continuing on to a PGCE or straight into a teaching post.  Accommodation is available.

    • Librarian

      Application Deadline: 23/04/19

      Starting from September 2019, we are seeking to appoint a Librarian to join our friendly team.  You will be required to support our Library Manager in delivering a high level of support to pupils and staff using a variety of library resources. In addition to excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills, the ideal candidate must have an interest in literature with the desire to enthuse young readers.  

      This is a part-time, term time role working an average of 36 hours per week, 35 weeks per year, to include working alternate Saturday mornings during term time.
