    • Librarian

      Starting from September 2019, we are seeking to appoint a Librarian to join our friendly team.  You will be required to support our Library Manager in delivering a high level of support to pupils and staff using a variety of library resources. In addition to excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills, the ideal candidate must have an interest in literature with the desire to enthuse young readers.  

      This is a part-time, term time role working an average of 36 hours per week, 35 weeks per year, to include working alternate Saturday mornings during term time.

    • Chemistry Technician

      Application Deadline: 24/04/19

      An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chemistry Technician to join our team as soon as possible at Kimbolton School in assisting with the provision of high quality teaching and learning.  Duties will include assisting other technicians in the provision of services to teaching laboratories, general cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment and helping with stock control.  You will possess a good standard of general education to A-level or equivalent in a relevant science subject and you will have had some laboratory work experience ideally in a school setting. 

      This is a full time, term time position (37.5 hours per week, 35 weeks per year).

    • Key Stage 2 Teacher

      A further opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, dedicated teacher to take responsibility for a class at the Preparatory School. We are interested in appointing the right person to complement our staff team and will adapt the role to fit the strengths of the successful candidate.

      The position offers the chance to teach a wide range of curriculum subjects whilst enjoying the support of specialist staff. The successful candidate will be experienced across KS2, with experience at KS1 considered an advantage.  The successful candidate will have day to day responsibility for their own class, including the pastoral and academic welfare of pupils. A willingness to contribute fully to the sporting/extracurricular life of the school is a key requirement of the role.

      Job Description : KS2 Teacher

    • Part-time Teacher of Economics and Business

      Application Deadline: 26/04/19

      Following the increased take up of students for Economics and Business, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our outstanding team on a part time basis (up to 0.4) from September 2019. 

      The successful candidate would be expected to have a good degree in an Economics or Business related subject, be up to date with the latest current affairs and subject developments, as well as being able to enthuse and relate well to Sixth Form students.

      In the first year, the Head of Economics expects to offer seven hour-long periods of Sixth Form A level teaching in either Economics, Business or both. Results in recent years have been very strong (2018 results – Economics 25% A* & 75% A*-B with Business 79% A*-B with a particularly strong value-added score. The new teacher’s primary role will be to help maintain and improve upon this standard. 

      There is a competitive salary scale and the successful applicant would be placed at the appropriate point on this scale, with reference to his/her experience and qualifications.  Statutory induction would be provided for NQTs.

      Following the retirement of the current Head of Spanish and a restructuring of the Spanish and French departments, we are looking to appoint someone to join us from September 2019 who will develop and enhance the current provision for MFL (Spanish & French) in the Senior School (School Years 7 to 13).  This new post presents an exciting opportunity for the right person to develop languages provision at Kimbolton during a stage of school expansion and development. 

      The MFL Departments organise a wide range of cultural activities (visits to conferences, shows, plays; masterclasses; cultural days; music club, writing competitions etc.) and trips to Spain, France and Latin America. 

      Kimbolton School prides itself on its excellent examination results, progressive thinking about teaching and pastoral programmes and a very strong extra-curricular programme.       We seek to appoint an experienced Early Years Nursery Nurse/Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and committed team at our Preparatory School as soon as possible.  You will be expected to work closely with teachers to ensure that children are supported and fully engaged with their learning and development so that they can achieve their full potential.  The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ qualification (or equivalent).  You must also have GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
