    Sciences - Summer Term

Our Sciences Masterclasses aim to bring together like-minded Year 5 children (Year 6 in the Autumn Term) from local primary schools to work through a variety of stimulating scientific investigations using techniques and equipment that are not usually available to children of this age.

In 2021 we hope to hold two identical courses (‘Fitzpiers’ and ‘Stafford’).  Each course will comprise six sessions of 90 minutes duration, with two sessions focussing of each of the sciences. Taught by subject specialists, the courses will run in parallel but will complete the sessions in a different order to each other.

A typical programme is outlined in the table below.  Please note that the timings are different to those for the Mathematics and the History and English Masterclasses.  The first meeting will start with a short briefing for parents.
