Welcome from the Headmaster

This website provides a brief taster of life at Kimbolton School, an HMC co-educational independent day and boarding school based in Cambridgeshire of some 1000 pupils between ages 4 and 18.

Our Prep School caters for 4 to 11 year olds at one end of the village, whilst a brisk walk through our parkland brings you out into the Castle grounds which house the Senior School for 11-18 year olds. We are fortunate to have such an attractive campus, centred on Kimbolton Castle...

Life at Kimbolton

Life at Kimbolton School is full of opportunities. Each day is busy, stimulating and varied, no matter what the age of the pupil.

We are very much one school: the curricula of the Prep and Senior Schools are aligned; our warm, caring ethos starts at the Reception Year and continues through to the Upper Sixth.

Joining Us

We are a selective independent day and boarding school in Cambridgeshire, accepting pupils of all ages from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, North London and beyond, subject to passing an appropriate assessment and the availability of a place.

Our normal entry points are at ages 4+ (Lower Prep), 7+ (Upper Prep), 11+ and 13+ (Senior School) and 16+ (Sixth Form). We allow entry into other year groups and/or at times other than September when space permits.

We offer scholarships and assistance with fees (in the form of bursaries) from age 11.
