Cluedo at the Castle
Whodunnit? Our White House boarders are on the case…
Who killed Dr Orchid? Our White House boarders were on the case this weekend in a murder-mystery game of Cluedo at the Castle. Pupils and boarding house staff dressed up for an atmospheric candlelit dinner in the Saloon, followed by a live version of the popular board game in various locations around the historic Grade 1 listed building.
Much-loved characters came to life as tutors took on the roles of Professor Plum, Reverend Green, Miss Scarlett, Mrs Peacock and Colonel Mustard. Working in teams, the girls wandered the Castle corridors and rooms on the hunt for clues to solve the murder. Was it Reverend Green in the Chapel with a knife? Or Colonel Mustard in the Red Room with a revolver?
Housemistress Mrs Laura Hadden said: “Cluedo is the girls’ favourite after-school board game. With our usual weekend activities paused during lockdown, we decided to create our own live-action version in the Castle. It provided all the fun of a night out - without leaving home!”
