Year 5 explore characters in drama lessons through 'role on the wall' technique
Drama in our Prep school teaches children a variety of key drama techniques.
This week in drama some of the Year 5 children have been exploring characters through ‘role on the wall’ which is a drama technique, where the children listen to the text and then create an image that represents what they have heard. Then they draw the physical characteristics on the outside of the character, and the thoughts and feelings on the inside of the character.
Their character was Razvani from The Firemaker’s Daughter, which is the text they are using as a stimulus this term.
