Not only did Charlie win three golds at the recent Beds County Championships (in the 400m, 800m and 1500m), she also became bronze medallist in the senior age category AND the U15 Junior Cup winner in all three events.  Charlie, who swims for Beds Swim Squad, also added to her distance wins with a gold in the 100m backstroke, another junior cup and a silver medal in the senior age category for the event.

Charlie had another brilliant weekend this weekend, securing gold in the U15 age group, the junior cup in the 200 backstroke and bronze in the senior age category although her previous results had already cemented Charlie's place in the National Championships at the end of March, where she will represent Wales.

Meanwhile, 3^rd Former Abi, has demonstrated why she has been selected for Swim England Regional Talent Programme by bringing home 14 medals from the Beds County Championships.

She showed her versatility by medalling in all four swim strokes and dominated the backstroke events, taking gold in all three distances. Abi’s performances over the Championship resulted in her being awarded top age group swimmer in the County for the second year running. She now returns to training to focus on Regional and National Championships later in the year.
