    • Headmaster's Assembly

      Throughout the lockdown the Headmaster has delivered his Senior School Monday morning assemblies virtually.  OKs may be interested in reading this week's assembly which addressed recent events in the news regarding the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the Black Lives Matter movement.  The assembly was led by some thought-provoking words from the Head Girl.

    • OK singled out in daily Downing Street coronavirus update

      An Old Kimboltonian was singled out in the daily Downing Street press conference on 22nd April.  Gen Sir Nick Carter, Chief of the Defence Staff, outlined how the work of the Armed Forces was helping in the fight against Covid-19 and made specific mention of the work of Major Eb Mukhtar, who left Kimbolton School in 1999.

      Eb, in addition to his job as Director of Operations, EMEA for Google Shopping, is a Reservist for the British Army.  He is one of many experts from industry who have been brought in to work within the military during the pandemic, and his expertise in logistics has been key to developing a supply chain to get personal protective equipment to where it is needed in the NHS.

      The OKA are saddened to report that former member of staff, Jim Townley, passed away on 14th June 2019 after a long illness.

    • Peter Guthrie Memorial Concert

      Former member of staff, Peter Guthrie, sadly passed away earlier this year aged 92.  On Sunday 23rd September a saxophone concert will be held at 3pm in St Andrew's Church, Kimbolton Road, Bedford, to pay tribute to Peter who was a well-respected musician and teacher.

    • OK Hockey Team Hold School to a Draw

      After a narrow defeat in 2014, the OK Ladies Hockey team played hard in the annual match against the School 1st XI on Sunday 6 September which ended in a well-deserved draw.

      A telephone call from an Old Kimboltonian's family has brought to light the history of the 1st XI football pitch – and prompted the reinstatement of its original name, the ‘Heath Field’.
