Former member of staff, Peter Guthrie, sadly passed away on 6th April aged 92.  On Sunday 23rd September a saxophone concert will be held to pay tribute to Peter who was a well-respected musician and teacher.

The concert will be by Plural Sax - a flexible ensemble of saxophonists, who have performed together over many years in Cambridge, Oxford and Kimbolton.  Peter was their original bass saxophonist and arranger and a well-loved member of the group, who even at the age of 92 continued to share his passion for his powerful bass saxophone!

A number of arrangements of popular classical works, arranged by Peter for large saxophone ensemble, will be included. From the mighty bass saxophone to the dinky sopranino and everything in between, Plural Sax will showcase both the powerful and delicate sounds of the classical saxophone.
