The OKA are saddened to report that former member of staff, Jim Townley, passed away on 14th June 2019 after a long illness.

Jim joined Kimbolton School in 1961 teaching both Physics and Chemistry, but later in just the field of Chemistry - in a Department which had the same trio of teachers for 31 years!  Many OKs will remember his fine Lancastrian accent as well as his strict class discipline.  He was the School's first appointed Careers Adviser, a role he filled until the day he retired, and the first senior Housemaster of Gibbards.

Jim retired in 1991 and lived, with his wife Pat, locally in Great Staughton.  His involvement with and commitment to the School continued through the OKA where he was a valued Committee Member.

He is pictured above with Pat at the OKA Annual Dinner a few years ago.
