Entrepreneurs Cut Their Teeth at Trade Fairs
Young Enterprise students win awards for their dental products.
Young Enterprise Team “Dentify” have won 'Best Product' at the busy Milton Keynes trade fair for their environmentally-friendly children's toothbrushes and dental chart plan. They were one of 40 companies trading at the event on Sunday (27 Jan), with representatives from schools across Cambs, Beds, Bucks, Herts and beyond.
Their win follows success at the St Ives trade fair earlier this month, where our business-minded Lower Sixth Formers won two awards. Dentify, led by Managing Director Millie Jones, was named 'Best Overall Company', while Team “Utilitin”, led by MD Sophie Underwood, scooped 'Best Product' for their recycled and decorated tin holder.
At both events, our students joined young entrepreneurs from across the region to gain valuable sales and feedback. The teams also competed against each other for cash prizes in categories including Best Innovation, Best Product, Best Overall Company, Best Trade Stand and Best Customer Service.
Next up for Team Dentify is a visit to Spaldwick Community Primary School, to talk to some of the younger pupils about dental hygiene. Both teams are also looking forward to taking their products to market in Peterborough and Cambridge later this term.
