Pupils Go Flat Out For Pancake Day

Frying pans at the ready… and they’re off! Prep and Senior pupils take part in Pancake Day races at either end of the school campus.

Frying pans at the ready… and they’re off! To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, the traditional feast before the start of Lent, our Prep and Senior pupils today took part in Pancake Day races at either end of the school campus.

At the Lower Prep, children in Reception to Year 2 split into teams for a playground relay, with plenty of fun had by all - including Prep Headmaster Mr Foley and School Chaplain Mr Peter Crawford.  Meanwhile, representatives from each of our First Form classes ‘battered’ it out in a fiercely competitive contest on the Mall at the Senior School. Congratulations to the winners, 1B.

There were more pancakes at lunchtime too, with pupils tucking into delicious toppings including strawberries, chocolate sauce, syrup and lemon juice. Yum!
