    Students Join International Debate

Excellent result at European Youth Parliament National Final.

In an excellent European Youth Parliament (EYP) debating result, two of our Upper Sixth Formers have been selected to represent the UK on the global stage. Aryaki and Lloyd received the coveted invitation to an international session next year, following a superb performance at the EYP National Final in Liverpool earlier this term. The pair received praise from the judging panel for their work on the Women’s Rights and Legal Committee respectively.

Aryaki and Lloyd were members of an eight-strong Kimbolton team who represented East Anglia in the final at Liverpool Hope University, which brought together over 100 delegates from across the UK and Germany.

Mr Joseph Newsam, who together with Mrs Alison Bates coordinates debating at our school, said: “All members of the team made an excellent effort over the course of the weekend and represented both the school and East Anglia with distinction. This is a great result for Aryaki and Lloyd, and well deserved. We look forward to hearing how they get on at an international conference in the future.”
