    Year 4 Visit Flag Fen

Pupils discover what life was like for our prehistoric ancestors.

Year 4 recently enjoyed an informative day at Flag Fen in Peterborough, the location of some of the most significant Bronze Age archaeology in Europe. The children discovered what life was like for our prehistoric ancestors, looking at a variety of artefacts to work out what they would have been used for and how they were made.

Pupils also had the opportunity to make clay pots using natural resources such as string and cones to help create intricate patterns. The sun shone and the children ate their lunch outside, sitting next to the Fen Causeway - a section of Roman road.
