Kind-hearted Prep School pupils are this week running a book sale in aid of the WWF appeal to help wildlife affected by the bushfire emergency in Australia. The sale is the idea of Year 6 pupil Ema, who wrote to Prep Headmaster Mr Foley asking if the school could host a fundraising event. Ema, and many other children, had seen the distressing images on television and wanted to make a positive contribution to help.

Teacher Mrs Johnson, who coordinates charity events at the Prep school, said: “Pupils from Reception to Year 6 have helped by donating and buying books. Many have expressed their sadness at the events in Australia and it’s been great they feel they can do a little to help”.

The book sale is running all week in entrances to both the Lower and Upper Prep.
