    Kimbolton Remembers

Pupils and staff pause to mark Armistice Day and remember The Fallen.

Our whole school paused to mark Armistice Day this morning. Pupils and staff gathered on the Prep playing fields and around the Castle's West Lawn in socially distanced year groups for the Last Post, Act of Remembrance and two minute silence at 11am.

With the country in lockdown due to Covid-19, the British Legion's annual Remembrance Sunday parade along Kimbolton High Street did not take place this year. Instead, our Headmaster and CCF Contingent Commander laid wreaths on behalf of Kimbolton School at the War Memorial next to St Andrew’s Church - in remembrance of all the Old Kimboltonians who lost their lives in the wars of the twentieth century. The Headmaster said: “It was a particularly poignant occasion in an almost deserted High Street, given that Kimbolton is usually jam-packed on Remembrance Sunday and our CCF always do themselves, and the School, proud.”
