    A Flourishing Schools' Partnership

Year 6 pupils from Greenfields Primary School visit Kimbolton as part of our schools' ongoing partnership and peer mentoring programme.

Year 6 pupils from Greenfields Primary School, Kettering, enjoyed an action-packed day at Kimbolton as part of our schools' continuing partnership and peer mentoring programme. Our Fourth Formers supported and guided the younger children during fun and engaging sessions in Biology, Drama, DTE, F&N, Music and Physics. The visit gave the younger pupils a chance to enjoy some new experiences and subjects, and to chat about the transition to secondary school with others who are a few years ahead of them.

The project is an opportunity for some of our GCSE pupils to develop their leadership skills by working with younger students, while the Year 6 pupils benefit from role models and mentors they can talk with and learn from. Our theme this year was being a "positive bystander", a topic which was explored during an earlier visit to Greenfields in the spring term.
