On a hot Friday in June, 12 members of our First and Second Forms travelled to Bedford's International Stadium for the East Region Prep Schools' Athletics Championships. With strong competition from over 45 schools and sizzling conditions for all, we produced some excellent results throughout the day.

Our long jumpers, Leo and Ollie each enjoyed their competitions with impressive jumps, both finishing in 3rd place.

In the Middle distance events our athletes faced soaring temperatures and tough competition. Rafferty and Harrison both ran well-paced 1500metres in their age groups, finishing in 3rd and 4th place respectively. Another hard fought race followed with Tiggy crossing the line in 4th place.

Following a determined and well-thought-out race in the 1500m, Clara finished in 2nd place in the u13 girls 1500m. She will now compete for the East team at the National Finals on Monday 3rd July at Nuneaton.
