Prep Cross-Country Success

Pupils in Years 3-6 race to victory in first "virtual" sports competition of the new academic year.
Prep pupils from Years 3–6 won team and individual awards at their first virtual sporting competition of the new academic year. During the first half of the Autumn term, they participated in Witham Hall’s virtual cross-country event, along with children from 14 other schools. Pupils had to run a set distance over a course in their own school grounds, with the fastest four boys’ and four girls’ times from each school counting towards the team competition. All Upper Prep pupils took part in the event, with Years 5 and 6 completing 1.8km, and Years 3 and 4 tackling 1.5km around the school playing fields.
Mr Tommy Evans, Head of Games and PE at Kimbolton Prep, said: “The enormous parcel of individual and team awards I received through the post this week went some way towards making up for missing the excitement and adrenaline of the live event. Our children performed exceptionally well in all races and should be tremendously proud of their achievements.”
Full team and individual results are listed below, with medals and trophies to be awarded in assemblies next week.
