    Model Pupils Hone Their Skills

The Kimbolton School Warhammer Modelling Club recently enjoyed a Saturday trip to the world headquarters of Games Workshop, in Nottingham. The morning was spent battling through epic scenery tables, around the wreckage of fallen war machines and besieged space ports.

After a quick lunch in Bugman's Bar, the group sat down and painted their models, with Mr Smith enjoying his first attempt at a Cadian trooper. Finally, a tour of the incredible miniatures collected over many decades finished the experience - notwithstanding the obligatory gift shop on the way out!

Club leader and Physics teacher Mr Thomas Wigington said: “It was a much-anticipated trip, postponed by Covid-19, and one that our pupils will hopefully use to inspire their current modelling efforts."

The Warhammer club meets weekly on Friday lunchtimes and offers time and space for pupils to take part in the Warhammer modelling hobby. It allows them to develop their creative skills by painting and modelling, as well as taking part in matches. Each pupil signs up to the agreed rules of fairness, good sportsmanship and personal responsibility, being free to use the communal resources or to bring their own.
